Meet Our Staff
Meet the doctor:
 Dr. Bonita Krempel- Portier, D.O. (aka Dr.
Portier) is a1991 graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic
Medicine. She is a general practitioner and is board certified in
internal medicine. She completed her internship at Clarion Hospital,
Clarion, Pennsylvania in 1992. Dr. Portier completed her residency in
internal medicine at Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland in
1995. Since then, Dr. Portier has practiced primary care medicine in
the Emmitsburg and Thurmont area. Prior to going into medicine Dr.
Portier became the mother of three, was a high school teacher, and
worked with insurance claims. She also has a background in social work.
Bonita is married to William L. Portier PhD, (the other Dr. Portier)
Professor of Theology at University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio.
